Orchestras
GMYS has three orchestras with room for young musicians of all ability levels from beginner through high school. All orchestras rehearse once a week on Saturdays during the school year and perform several times during the year.

GMYS offers a 9-week series of mixed-instrument group classes for 8-12 year olds who have never played a stringed instrument, but would like to try it out. No prior musical experience is needed! Students DO need access to their chosen instrument. The class is run in the fall and again in the winter/spring semester.
GMYS in the summer = CAMP!
Intermediate-Advanced orchestral musicians are invited to join us for an intensive residency week at Northern Vermont University - Johnson. Our week includes, full orchestra, chamber music, Eurhythmics, and plenty of fun. Many of our students tell us it’s the highlight of their musical year.
GMYS offers musical instruction at the highest level to students of all orchestral instruments and skill levels, ages six to eighteen.
