Who we are
23 years of musical education in central Vermont

GMYS was established in 2000, providing young musicians with a place to collaborate and make music together. The pandemic slowed operations, but we are back on track for another incredible season.
All skill levels welcome

Our Repertory orchestra hosts students with as little as 6-12 months of musical experience; our Concert and Senior orchestras give intermediate and advanced students a chance to push their musicality to new heights.
Classical, show-tunes, movie music - we love it all!

We perform pieces from a wide range of composers including Beethoven, Mozart, Dvorak, Saint-Georges, and many more. We also love to include movie music, show tunes, and even composers from our own orchestras.
We meet Saturdays in the Fall and Spring Semesters at the Capitol City Grange
